Most of the time I am sat with my legs elevated on the couch, but I need to be doing stuff with my hands and I started to craft stuff, I crochet, sew, make jewellery and dabble with polymer clay, I like to make tiny figures and turn them into key rings or pendants for necklaces and earrings. Also I am teaching myself to knit, I like to draw and paint, and whilst my opinion is that I am not very good at it I am also aware that art is in the eye of the beholder, so I like to pretend that I am good, hahahahaha! Limiting myself to one sort of craft is not something I could do because I get bored too quickly. So there is constantly different types of crafts and other hobbies going on around here. Ideally I would like to be able to sell what I make, the initial idea was that I make bespoke items for customers, getting commissioned to do a project for people whatever that may have been, for example I have made lots of bracelets for one lady and another had me make all kinds of little stocking fillers, at the moment I am making Remembrance Bears which I am selling for £10 each and then I am donating the money to charity. I am also making Barbie outfits for another lady, and I also crocheted a giraffe key ring. I wanted to do my crafting like that but I get so few customers that I have to craft in the meantime, but its an evil cycle, what I am crafting isn't what people want so I end up with loads of jewellery or crocheted items that I just can't shift. I won't give up though...... I think my biggest problem though is that it's so addictive, I love buying new craft stuff, and I get a buzz every time the postman brings me something new, and even more than that is when you put everything neatly away, get on with another project for awhile and then go back to you craft room (yes I have that much stuff I have totally taken over a room) and find stuff you forgot about and you get that buzz all over again.
Here are some pictures of the stuff I have made so far.
