A Little Of What You Fancy?

Whether you want a snack, lunch or have the late night munchies, if you like Tuna then these are perfect - they really hit the spot... Although not entirely ideal if you are looking for something with absolutely no fuss, nor if you want it done in less than five minutes. They are however certainly worth the effort, if you do have the time. I would like to take the opportunity to point out that whilst these aren't entirely hassle free, I have made these as part of drunken midnight feast!

Tuna Puff Sandwiches

3/4 Cup Mayonnaise
1 1/2 teaspoons, finely minced onion
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
6 Slices of bread
1 1/2 teaspoons of mustard
7 oz Tuna
6 Slices of tomato
3/4 cup grated cheese (of your choice)

1. In a bowl combine a 1/4 cup mayonnaise with the onion, mustard and the worcestershire sauce, then stir in the tuna.

2. Place the slices of bread on an ungreased, baking sheet and spoon the tuna mixture onto each slice of bread, then add a slice of tomato, next combine the remaining mayonnaise with the cheese, then spoon that over the top of the tomato.

3. Bake at 400F/200C for 12 minutes or until golden and puffy.

  1. Oh my gosh! Brings back memories. Years ago I would always order Tuna Melts for lunch. I had forgotten.
